Iran has halted the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon. However, it added that "simultaneous with Israeli attacks on Lebanon, the tankers' passage through the Strait of Hormuz has stopped". In a joint statement, the Guard Corps' naval and aerospace forces said the latest developments show that Iran is serious about keeping its "finger on the trigger" during the two-week ceasefire and ahead of talks with the United States scheduled for 10 April.
