According to the statement, Russia expects Ukraine to follow Moscow's example on the ceasefire. "We proceed from the assumption that the Ukrainian side will follow the example of the Russian Federation (on the "Easter ceasefire")," the statement reads. Putin also issued instructions to his armed forces to cease hostilities for the duration of the ceasefire but to be prepared to respond to the adversary.
